PLAY AND LEARNING

Did you know that play is important to how your child learns?

Good morning, this is your Parenting Moment brought to you by Legacy Academy

For Children.

The most current research tells us that play is essential to a child’s health growth

and development. Play is “innate” in all humans and is the basis for the skills

your child will use later in life. Play is how children learn about and understand

the world around them and, how they fit into that world.

Children learn by doing. Through play they are using their sense of touch, smell,

sight and sound to develop critical thinking skills and make decisions. While it

looks like fun to you, these “playful” opportunities are building a strong foundation

for academic success. Give your little legacy the gift of play and add purpose to

their learning.
